Home for a moment...

Our vacation was great so were both family reunions. We had a lovely time celebrating Great Poppa Pete's birthday with him. Mia enjoyed the cupcakes!

Next we celebrated at Derk's lake in Twin Falls. Mia loved the lake and was able to stay in it most of the day by asking everyone to take a turn with her! That night we went to the Hazelton Days Celebration. It was a fun time and Mia loved the rides and fireworks. From there we ventured off to the ice caves and then onto Crates of the Moon. Both were quite interesteing.

Next stop was the cabin where we enjoyed spending time with Kylie and doing lots of river rafting. Then we went on to Helena, MT and spent the day out on Canyon Ferry Lake. It was beautiful up there and covered with deer. Marchel's family came up later in the week and Mia enjoyed having the kids around to play with. We all watched fireworks together at Lakeside. It was a nice enjoyable week. Mia really loved riding the 4 wheelers and catching frogs!

Last weekend we spent up at Rockport with Uncle Doug and Aunt Alicia. We had a great time with all of them up there. Mia loved being able to wonder back and forth between camps. She was well entertained by all of Aunt Alicia's activities. This weekend we went up to stay at Strawberry. It was the most relaxing time I've had in months. I got to take a nap and we enjoyed the most awesome thunderstorm i've heard in a long time. It rolled on an on for hours. With only a little rain, thank goodness. Mia slept right through it though.


Its been a great summer so far...Mia is starting her 2nd week of swim lessons today. She is doing great and get more used to being in the water with just her teacher! She jumps out of the pool everyday yelling HUNGRY mommy! I've started taking a yogurt smoothie for the ride there and snacks for after.

We will be home this next weekend so that daddy can work. Hopefully we'll have some fun things to keep us busy with the 24th holiday.
