We made it a busy weekend after Thanksgiving. We always meet up with my step mom's family and most of my brothers and sisters. There are 8 of us total all with kids now so you can imagine what a get together it is. Grandma and Grandpa Peterson have turned it into a really fun tradition. They hire a photographer and we all come dressed up and ready to smile. OK so the kids take turns deciding who has to smile and who has to cry but it really went very reasonable this year. After pics are done we play games while Dad and Jean entertain all the kids. Then we all exchange gifts. Mia really enjoyed playing with all her cousins. We got some great pics too.
Bart's Dad's family had an exchange student from Denmark when they were in school and they have all kept in touch over the years. He and his wife were in town visiting and so we had to leave one party and head to the next. Its always fun to see them and talk about all the changes since we've last seen then and funny or sad differences in our countries. Like they get 12 month PAID maternity leave and the mom or the dad can take it or split it up between them - GO AMERICA. Plus they have something like 4 weeks manditory vacation and you get it even if you change jobs. No wonder they are happy people, right. Anyway we had a catered dinner from Goodwood and enjoyed lots of good spirits.
PS can you tell Mia took a nap today - first time in FOREVA!!!
